Expecting Rain Wednesday

Good morning, good morning, good morning to you all. Surprise, surprise, Marylou has arranged our cruise next January, 29th, 2018. As you, the last 11 cruises we have used Carnival but this time she has found another cruise ship. Here it is.

                                   The Celebrity Reflection

Remember when I told you that I had been asking her to go on a longer cruise and she kept saying to me, an 8 day is enough. Well guess what? The cruise that my wonderful wife chose for use will be a 12 day out of Fort Lauderdale which will take us to Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Colon, Panama, Cartagena, Colombia, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel Mexico. Marylou did great and I can't wait though we became Platinum with Carnival which us some perks but with Celebrity, we've started from beginning again. That's OK. this will be exciting. I wanted to take some excursions but Oh my God, the prices are just crazy. Some are even up tp $ 200 each. I think we'll just enjoy the ship.

Once upon a time there lived a women who had a maddening passion for baked beans. She loved them but unfortunately they had always had a very embarrassing and somewhat lively reaction on her. Then one day she met a guy and fell in love. When it became apparent that they would marry she thought to herself, "He is such a sweet and gentle man, he would never go for this carrying on." So she made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later her car broke down on the way home from work. Since she lived in the country she called her husband and told him that she would be late because she had to walk home. On her way she passed a small diner and the odor of the baked beans was more than she could stand. Since she still had miles to walk, she figured that she would walk off any ill effects by the time she reached home. So, she stopped at the diner and before she knew it, she had consumed three large orders of baked beans. All the way home she putt-putted. And upon arriving home she felt reasonably sure she could control it. Her husband seemed excited to see her and exclaimed delightedly, "Darling, I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded her and led her to her chair at the table. She seated herself and just as he was about to remove the blindfold from his wife, the telephone rang. He made her promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned. He then went to answer the phone. The baked beans she had consumed were still affecting her and the pressure was becoming almost unbearable, so while her husband was out of the room she seized the opportunity, shifted here weight to one leg and let it go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. She took her napkin and fanned the air around her vigorously. Then, she shifted to the other cheek and ripped three more, which reminded her of cabbage cooking. Keeping her ears tuned to the conversation in the other room, she went on like this for another ten minutes. When the phone farewells signaled the end of her freedom, she fanned the air a few more times with her napkin, placed it on her lap and folded her hands upon it, smiling contentedly to herself. She was a picture of innocence when her husband returned. Apologizing for taking so long on the phone, he asked her if she peeked, and she assured him that she had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold . . . "S U R P R I S E!!!!" There were twelve dinner guests seated around the table to wish her a Happy Birthday!!!!

THREE COUPLES, an elderly couple, a middle-aged couple and a young newlywed couple wanted to join a church. The pastor said, "We have special requirements for new parishioners. You must abstain from having sex for two weeks."
The couples agreed and came back at the end of two weeks.
The pastor went to the elderly couple and asked, "Were you able to abstain from sex for the two weeks?"
The old man replied, "No problem at all, Pastor."
"Congratulations! Welcome to the church!" said the pastor.  The pastor went to the middle-aged couple and asked, "Well, were you able to abstain from sex for the two weeks?
"The man replied, "The first week was not too bad. The second week I had to sleep on the couch for a couple of nights but, yes, we made it."
"Congratulations! Welcome to the church!" said the pastor. The pastor then went to the newlywed couple and asked, "Well, were you able to abstain from sex for two weeks?"
"No, Pastor, we were not able to go without sex for the two weeks," the young man replied sadly. "My wife was reaching for a can of paint on the top shelf and dropped it. When she bent over to pick it up, I was overcome with lust and took advantage of her right there."
"You understand, of course, this means you will not be welcome in our church," stated the pastor.  "We know." said the young man, "We're not welcome at Home Depot anymore, either."

A woman is at home when she hears someone knocking at her door. She goes to the door opens it and sees a man standing there. He asks the lady, "Do you have a Vagina?" She slams the door in disgust. The next morning she hears a knock at the door, its the same man and he asks the same question to the woman, "Do you have a Vagina?" She slams the door again. Later that night when her husband gets home she tell him what has happened for the last two days. The husband tells his wife in a loving and concerned voice, "Honey, I am taking an off tomorrow so as to be home, just incase this guy shows up again." The next morning they hear a knock at the door and both ran for the door. The husband whisperes to the wife, "Honey, im going to hide behind the door and listen and if it is the same guy I want you to answer yes to the question because I want to a see where he's going with this." She nods yes to her husband and opens the door. Sure enough the same fellow is standing there, he asks, "Do you have a Vagina?" "Yes I do." says the lady. The man replies, "Good, would you mind telling your husband to leave my wife's alone and start using yours!"

A young couple got married and left on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called her mother. Her mother asked, "How was the honeymoon?"
"Oh, mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic..." Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned Sam started using the most horrible language...things I'd never heard before!  I mean, all these awful 4-letter words! You've got to come get me and take me home.... Please mama!"
"Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "calm down!  Tell me, what could be so awful?  What 4-letter words?"
"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed they're just too awful! Come get me, please!"
"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your mother these horrible 4-letter words!"
Still sobbing, the bride said, "Oh, mama...words like DUST, WASH, IRON, COOK...!"

At St. Peter's Catholic Church in Toronto , they have weekly husband's marriage seminars. At the session last week, the priest asked Giuseppe, who said he was approaching his 50th wedding anniversary, to take a few minutes and share some insight into how he had managed to stay married to the same woman all these years. Giuseppe replied to the assembled husbands, "Wella, I'va tried to treat her nicea, spenda da money on her, but besta of all is, I tooka her to Italy for the 25th anniversary!" The priest responded, "Giuseppe, you are an amazing inspiration to all the husbands here! Please tell us what you are planning for your wife for your 50th anniversary?" Giuseppe proudly replied, " I gonna go pick her up."

  1. Oh my, 12 day cruise instead of 8 days. Way to go Mary Lou. You'll love it because you'll be going to different places. Your wife will love it even more. Good for Mary Lou.

Love all the jokes as always.

  2. The baby memes are great. I really enjoy the captions people invent for photos like that.

The trip sounds really wonderful, but I'd think long and hard about coming up with the money to do many of the off-the-ship excursions. When will you ever get to that part of the world again? Just saying....

    1. Yes the cruise will be different. From the fun ship carnival to the more adult ship. We'll see which is better.

  5. Celebrity is quite a step up from Carnival. Much more European. I will be interested in what you think of it. And 12 days is a good amount. For us, we find about 17 days to per perfect. As for the ports, we stopped Puntarenas Costa Rica and Cartagena (This is one of my all time favourite ports). We did a half day coffee plantation excursion in Costa Rica and the rest of the day and all of Cartagena on our own.

    1. I'm not sure if I'm going to like the Celebrity. From what I'm seen so far, I may feel a little below other people.

  7. You'll love Cartagena. The have this tiny island, San Blas, with the most interesting tour. We took it ourselves. Not through the ship. Sounds like a lovely cruise!!!
