Cruising AS Compared TO Resorts

Good morning friends. I'm sorry being late but my Uncle Rocco passed away  and the funeral was yesterday. He was my father's brother but he was more then that to me. After my dad died, Uncle Rocco was like a father to me. If I needed any help, he was there so I will miss him a great deal.

Ok, what I want to talk with you is the difference of Cruising as compared to Resorts and what you would choose. Every Friday morning I go to breakfast with some friends. We all just came back from vacations, some of us cruised while others went to a resort. I would like your ideas on this. You already know my choices so I'm not going to mention my choice.

Here are some examples of types of resorts.

Well this looks fantastic doesn't it? Tomorrow I'll discuss the cruising idea. Twelve years ago when I wanted to arrange a vacation for my wife & I went to see travel agent of thank goodnes it was my friend Nancy. I mentioned Sandals and that's when she mentioned about a cruise. I have never even thought about a cruise even though it was in the back of my mind. Tomorrow I will tell you why I chose a cruise over a resort.

See ya until tomorrow my friends.

Cruisin Paul

  1. Those resorts look wonderful and so do the cruises but personally, neither one appealed to my husband and me. We preferred car trips across America, meeting people along the way and seeing how other people live. I know you do that on a global level on cruise stops but I'm content to do that watching a travelog like I'm going to this afternoon.

    Sorry about your uncle Rocco.

  2. This is why I wrote this blog. Cruising & resorts are for one type of person but would like to know other then the two, what else do people enjoy. Thank you Jean.

  3. I would rather do the resort over a cruise. Just not that big on cruising the big ships. I love our boat far better. I am glad to do the work too. It's just hubby and I and it's wonderful.

I don't think we're going to do much traveling anymore. We've come to the place of just being home on on our boat. That works for us.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. You know Sandee, if I had that wonderful boat of yours, I would enjoy that myself. For me, cruising will be my special treat for vacationing.

  4. Cruises, resorts, time away -- it all sounds good to me. Certainly i would never pass up any if it were offered.

    1. Ha,ha,ha. If it was offered I'd go also.

  5. All sorts of holidays for all sorts of people. I like to travel so cruises are closer to what I like to do. I liked resorts when the kids were little but now, travel is my preference.

    1. Travel is my preference also and I don't like to lie on a beach for hours and hours. I find it boring.

  6. I don't know how I missed this post Pauleo

I'm with mimi any would do me I haven't been away for years in fact I can't remember the last time I went out of London so these places are a dream :-)

Have a late great weekend Pauleo and enjoy your coffee LOL :-)
