Sunny Sunday

Good morning everyone. I'm still sneezing and coughing and hacking but I'm still alive.
One thing is that I've been sleeping well. My wife told my daughter that after I get up to go to the washroom, as I walk to go back to bed, I'm asleep before I get the bed. Ha,ha,ha.
Well lets back to my cruise.
I saw this Aruba sign from my balcony and I had to take a photo of it. I thought after taking the photo, we would walk around checking out Aruba and look for a hat that I wanted to buy the last time I was here and I didn't. Unfortunately, We were shocked. Everything was closed because Aruba had a holiday. The only thing opened was the casino and we don't have the money to throw away. So, back to the ship. Bummer. Why have a holiday when the ship is here?

Here is some photos of a holiday Aruba.
                        I LOVE ARUBA

MaryLou is the heart, she's my heart. Ah.

I asked my wife to stand behind this sign. It was OK but this second photo is even better.
                     Va, va voom Ha,ha,ha.
As we arrived at the cruise terminal, there was music and they had a really dancer.

There were many people that were out on their excursions. If I had known that Aruba has on a holiday I would have also been on an excursion. Oh well.
Here are some photos of Aruba taken from my balcony.

Later at dinner, I took some photos of us, being MaryLou, myself eating a breadstick and our dinner mates, Paul, yes another Paul and Paul's wife Laura.
By the way, the was another Paul in our group with two MaryLou's.
Here was Basil asking Laura what she wanted to dinner. I thought I would take a photo but it ended up kind of funny. Sorry Basil.

Well, Since Aruba was a dud because of their holiday, the next island will be better. I plan on it because Curacao will be an excursion day and I had many photos to show you. See ya then.

  1. Glad you had a great cruise, but I'm sorry you're sick. It seems to be what happens on those cruise ships.

Have a fabulous day and get well soon. 😎

  2. Sorry to hear that Aruba was 'closed'. I took public transit to a beach when I was there. I also walked around the town (but the stores were open) and checked out some of the history and sites.

    1. We would have walked around town but why waste our time if everything was closed. We would have have taken the trolly car around town.

  3. I rented a car in Aruba and drove from east to west and then we went to the furthest south and back north. We traveled the whole island which did not take long as you know. Sorry it was a national holiday when you arrived. You missed the goats that roam the streets and not much else trust me. The water in Curacao I recall being so incredibly turquoise like right out of a movie. Then again it was a booze cruise so I may have had rose colored glasses on when I was there. :-)

    1. I didn't really stick the breadstick up my nose. Just to take the photo. I did eat a lot of them, myself and the other Paul at the table.
