What a wonderful morning my friends. Yes it is a good morning because I"m feeling much better and my cold has decided to go some place else.
This morning on my cruise I awoke to a different pier that I usually go to at Curacao. It appears that the ship Aida arrived earlier before us.This must be a new dock that was built before the last time I was here.
Here is where we were taken to the center of the town to began our excursion. But before I wanted to get a photo of where we are at.
We began our excursion where the moveable bridge is at.
Luckily our Trolly driver took his time allowing me to take some good photos.
This is a photo of a heart made of junk.
I wanted to show you where we were in Curacao.
There was a ship but it was a small cruise ship. Our ship would be to large to be able to be there. The Reflection was down further down in the picture
This was the ship in the picture. It was a Holland of America cruise ship.
We now continue our our excursion in Curacao.
Ordinarily this area would be filled with fishermen selling the fish they caught and they cut the fish right there. We were told it was better that we were there now because the smell of cut fish would be so strong.
This next house is why I love Curacao.
The homes are decorated and each one seems to have a story to talk about.
This is the Governor's home
Now this next home has wonderful story to it.
This home is called " The Wedding Home." The story is that the daughter was getting married so he wanted to give his daughter a gift that she would never forget, A Wedding Home.
My dinner friend, Paul told me something he does on every cruise is taking a picture of the license plate of each island. I like the idea so my first license plate is of Curacao.
This the Catholic Church. It just came out of mass so I didn't want to take a photo of the people walking out og the church.
The other church is the Methodist Church. Did you notice that both churches have the same color.
I said I loved Curacao and here are the reasons.
The lady talking as we drove by informed us that " Dushi " is a statement that people say so she told us to say " Dushi " as we past by and we did and the people called back to us.
I love these large letters of CURACAO.
We are now finished the excursion but I wanted to see more and I wanted to find out what was on the other side of the moving bridge.
As we arrived to our ship, my friend Nancy and her good Fran arrived the same time after taking a long walk around Curacao. They both the same hat that they had bought.
I wish I got that hat. Oh well, maybe the next time.
That's it from Curacao.

Good morning everyone. I'm still sneezing and coughing and hacking but I'm still alive.
One thing is that I've been sleeping well. My wife told my daughter that after I get up to go to the washroom, as I walk to go back to bed, I'm asleep before I get the bed. Ha,ha,ha.
Well lets back to my cruise.
I saw this Aruba sign from my balcony and I had to take a photo of it. I thought after taking the photo, we would walk around checking out Aruba and look for a hat that I wanted to buy the last time I was here and I didn't. Unfortunately, We were shocked. Everything was closed because Aruba had a holiday. The only thing opened was the casino and we don't have the money to throw away. So, back to the ship. Bummer. Why have a holiday when the ship is here?
Here is some photos of a holiday Aruba.
I LOVE ARUBA
MaryLou is the heart, she's my heart. Ah.
I asked my wife to stand behind this sign. It was OK but this second photo is even better.
Va, va voom Ha,ha,ha.
As we arrived at the cruise terminal, there was music and they had a really dancer.
There were many people that were out on their excursions. If I had known that Aruba has on a holiday I would have also been on an excursion. Oh well.
Here are some photos of Aruba taken from my balcony.
Later at dinner, I took some photos of us, being MaryLou, myself eating a breadstick and our dinner mates, Paul, yes another Paul and Paul's wife Laura.
By the way, the was another Paul in our group with two MaryLou's.
Here was Basil asking Laura what she wanted to dinner. I thought I would take a photo but it ended up kind of funny. Sorry Basil.
Well, Since Aruba was a dud because of their holiday, the next island will be better. I plan on it because Curacao will be an excursion day and I had many photos to show you. See ya then.

Good morning friends. Guess what? I'm sick, really sick. I've had to cancel a lunch date with Dan my cousin and tomorrows breakfast date with Gerry my golf friend and especially this dinner tonight with my wife and daughter to Riccardos. I was OK last night but this morning, YUK. Every time I get back from a cruise, I get sick. It must be the hot weather in the Carribean and the come back to Amherstburg in the cold . YUK.
Lets get back to my Caribbean cruise.
Early breakfast in the Oceanview Cafe
This is where we sat to have breakfast just about everyday.
After breakfast, MaryLou & I went to my place on the ship.
There are two places in this area. One is The Studio where there have paintings and the other is The Porch, another eatery that is on the ship. I would sit here facing the ocean, watching people during their running and just sit there and rest. Facing me everyday was this, other then MaryLou.
Most days we would go for lunch on the Oceanview Cafe but one day MaryLou went and got us hamburgers and fries on the
Since this is our third cruise on the Reflection, there isn't much that I haven't shown before so I'll try not to bore you with much about the ship.
We have two days on the sea. MaryLou and I walked around the ship. One day they were teaching the rhumba
Some were learning while others were just laughing
After two days on the ocean we have arrived in Cartegena, Colombia. Since we have been there before and had an excursion, we decided to stay on board this time. The only photos I took were of the skyline of Cartegena and these photos that I took were in the pool area. I didn't know that the windows were tinted therefore the photos are of blue. Sorry about that.
The Reflection docked where they move large boxes onto ships and off of ships. It was like machines moving boxes of MAERSK. That's all you saw.
I have photos from the last time we were at Cartegena. I'll show a couple of them that I didn't show the last time. I kind of feel bad that I can't show you Cartegena this time. I hope you don't feel cheated.
Picture while walking in Old City in Cartegena.
Well that's all for today. The next time we'll be at Aruba and Curacao.

Good morning everyone. I'm back after having a tremendous cruise. We started the cruise the day before at the Fairfield Inn in Romulus, Michigan near the airport.
There was a group of us from Canada.
I woke up a 3:30 am, early for me but had because we had to take the shuttle to the airport. After placing our luggage in the airport and finally getting into tram taking us to the spot where our plane will be.
Once in the plane the were off to Fort Lauderdale.
After picking up our luggage, we took a taxi to the pier where the Celebrity Reflection was waiting for us.
One man noticed that I was limping and had a cane. He asked if I wanted a wheel chair and I said yes and he took us quickly through the throngs of people and we were able to get on the ship fast.
Since we couldn't go to our cabins yet, we went to Ocean View Cafe and had something to eat since we hadn't had anything to eat since last night.
Finally at 1:00pm, they told us that our cabins were ready for us.
At around 3:30pm we were called to our Muster station that tells us what to do in if the ship has any trouble. Once completed the ship the captain informed the people to take off the ropes that were holding the ship to the pier. After that we began to leave the pier. Our cruise has begun.
6:00pm came and it was time for our first dinner on the Reflection's Main Restaurant.
After sitting down I noticed that there was name plate for the people that would assist at dinner time.
Katarina saw us only once because she only gave the people who wanted wine and we don't drink.
Here are the two people that were the greatest people during our cruise.
Our Waiter, Basil and his assistant Lubova. They both were fantastic.
After dinner we would usually go and watch the show but remember, we were up early in the morning, 3:30am and we were very exhausted so we went to sleep waiting for the next day.
See you tomorrow.
