Celebrity Reflection

Well I hope that you enjoyed my first blog about my cruise.

Last year I found this place on the 15th deck right off of the elevators. This area was very quiet and I would spend much time listening to my music, resting and even having some lunch. You could have lunch at The Porch,

or enjoying the

or lunch having hamburgers, hot dogs & fries which we did have one day called the Mast Grill.

The lawn area had a place where many people ran every day and Mary Lou was one of them. I would watch her and others run around the 15th deck. As they ran, I enjoyed my music or just rested. During the week Mary Lou & I would play Yatzee. ( She beat me everytime except once ) Lucky me.

As you can see, I was sitting there listening to my music and having a coffee which I did many times during the 10 days.

ANTIGUA

We had arrived in Antigua beginning our first excursion. We were told to go into the Reflection Theatre to set us for excursion groups.

Mary Lou had to go up to the front to pick up our stickers which would arrange our grouping. When called we went out of the ship. Unfortunately, Mary Lou & I didn't go on our excursion. While we were waiting for our bus, a gigantic storm left us like wet ducks & cold. I mean totally wet so we went back into the ship to take a hot shower to take away the cold. If we had waited for the AC bus, we would probably have been sick. Of course the storm blew quickly and the rest of the day was sunny and hot. For us they gave us half of the cost of the excursion.

Here is Antigua from the ship.

Tonight is dress us night. Since we were given a table for two this year,  ( I hated this. I enjoy a table with people ) we decided not to get photos this year.

Tomorrow we arrive in Barbados and we have an excursion set. I hope that there will be no rain. See ya then.

  1. Looks like that excursion was not to be. You're right you would have probably been sick if you had stayed in those wet clothes.

Beautiful scenery and we all love the warm.

Have a fabulous day and week, Paul. 😎

  4. How sad that you had to miss an excursion, i wish you could have gone ashore to sightsee anyway. In some places that is too dangerous, though.

    1. I guess we could have, but we decided to spend more time on the ship.

  5. A good choice to forego the excursion and had a hot bath. It won't be good to fall sick during your cruise holiday.

    1. If it had been just a little rain we probably kept going but it came down in a heavy rain and we got drenched.

  6. I like tables with more people too. We requested a table for eight on our last cruise.

  7. I can't believe I finally was able to get on your blog! Your photos are interesting. Do you have to carry a map around to keep from getting lost on that big ship!

    1. Jean, I can get to see all the decks on the Celebrity Reflection on the internet and once I'm on the ship It's easy to know where you are at especially since I've been on the same ship twice.
