Cold Tuesday

We arrived at one of the wonderful places I enjoy, Grand Turk. We've been here 4 or 5 times and I hope to go back again. It's just a very restful place.
The last time we were here,  I took a photo of Mary Lou with this Margaritaville parrott  but not this time. It's my turn.
The first place I went to was the the location to buy two photo books. I remembered the place two years ago where I bought two photo books. Later we sat done and rested by the large pool they have at Grand Turk.
One of these years when I go back, I'm going to go into the pool. It's not deep, only about 3 to 4 feet.

It has a bar in the pool
This where Mary Lou & I sat for around 2 hours. Nothing going on, just relaxing and watching the people.

Right next to us was this unusual thing. I think someone forgot their sandal.

After resting and watching so many lovely people, we decided to walk around the area and then finally go back to the ship.
This lady took a photo of Mary Lou & I in the chess board.
I do play chess. I would have loved to play chess but Mary Lou didn't know how.
On our way back to the ship, I wanted to show you how many people were on Grand Turk at that moment. People at the pool, people on beach, people just walking around and of course people buying as much as they could.

There were two cruise ships at the pier. On one side was the Carnival Breeze, my ship and on the other side was the Westerdam, Holland America. Three times we've been at Grand Turk together. Their guests are just like us except the guests are all lesbians. They are just like us, we all love cruising.

Back on board, Mary Lou & I decided to have lunch. Our choice for lunch was Guy's Burgers Joint.
Boy were they delicious and they were with french fries, not a lot just enough to enjoy your lunch.

After we went and sat on the Ocean Plaza  where I had an iced cappachino coffee

Mary Lou and I had a dessert. It was a dessert that our wonderful friend Bee enjoys. Here it is.

                                                              RED VELVET CUPCAKES

Later we heard the ships horn warning the people on the island that the ship will be leaving Grand Turk in a half hour and sure enough, at 4:00 the ship began to leave the island.

                                                                Good Bye Grand Turk !

We went to dinner with Mary Anne & Judy. Later Mary Lou went to see a show while I went to Lido Dive - In - Movie. If you want they give you popcorn, and blankets since it can be a little windy on deck. I did this three times on my cruise. I love shows.

Later my wife met me at the fifth deck where we sat outside the Ocean Plaza and listen to the music of the 80's Rock with the Crowd. After we went back to our cabin and once again Ari left us a cute animal.

I think after such a wonderful day, sun, sand, pool, warm weather, good food, music and friends, you ready to go to sleep. Good night friends.

Snowy Monday

ENJOY YOUR FUN DAY AT SEA

After breakfast. we find a beautiful place to sit down and just enjoy the the sun and warmth. I noticed that things have changed a bit involving with the cruise director. Before you rarely saw the man or woman except on stage but this time you could see the CD walking around the ship, stopping and speaking with the guests. It was a great thing to see.
Here was the cruise director Mike just discussing whats going on, on the ship and hoping that everyone will have their best vacation ever. I had the chance to meet and speak to Mike twice which was amazing. Here is a photo of Mike again.

Unfortunately Mike's blue shirt was beaten with the color of pink if you know what I mean. At this moment my wife kicked me. Oh well I wanted to show the fact that the cruise directors are out & about on the ships now.The entire day was just resting.

Tonight was Attire Cruise Elegant which means looking good and having a picture or two or three.
Mary Lou looked beautiful in her print outfit.

Me, what a dummy, I forgot to put my dinner jacket in my luggage. I doubt it would help me anyways

One thing I always enjoyed on the cruise is meeting new people and as usual we met two wonderful people at dinner.
MaryAnne                                &                          Judy                                     were are dinner friends for the cruise. Unfortunately later MaryAnne was to get sick  first and then later  me and before the end of the cruise both Judy & Mary Lou were to be ill.
One great thing that we enjoyed at dinner was the great people that treated us so well. Our head waiter was Romano. What a wonderful, positive & funny man. He was fantastic.

Of course with any man, there has to be a more better lady that will help him and Romano had two fantastic ladies assisting him.

                          Waiters:             Surya                   Romano            Juthamard Singsoog
Together, they made our cruise dinner one of the best. During the breakfast often we would see Romano & Juthamard. Yes, they work throughout the day only having a short break. Romano told us he would often have a sleep between work times. These people work very hard and were told they often send their money back home to their families. They often work at 6 months stints. How would you feel not seeing your family over 6 months? Even that, these wonderful people, smile, smile and amazingly they even remember your name. Heck, I often can't remember my often name

After dinner Mary Lou & I went around the different decks to have our photos taken. Every cruise we make sure to buy a beautiful cruise of ourselves. Later I'll show you which one we bought.

As usual, we were still tired after walking around the ship often and  stopping at the different places. Once again entering our cabin we saw a new towel friend,

Here is the person that would make these fantastic towels animals for us each night. Our steward Ari.

That's it for our first sea day. Next day an island and a place that I just, Grand Turk. See ya.

Sunny Sunday

This was what I looked like waiting for my plane. Getting up at 4:30 am doesn't make me look good. Sorry about that. It was a good flight to Miami and a quick job on to the Breeze. I guess being Platinum makes a different. The first thing I always do is take a photo out of my balcony and this is what was out.

Usually we get our luggage around 6:00pm but suddenly we received it as soon as we got to our cabin, That got us chance to quickly get on Lido.
Mary Lou looks happy but me..................
well I'm where I should be, on a cruise. After some food ( we hadn't eaten since 5:00 am except for some peanuts on the plane and a drink ) we did the usual preparations on ship and after that the horn sounded which told us we are moving and ready for fun.

As the ship moves I love taking a photo of Miami as I say.... Good bye Miami.
Miami Beach is the last piece of land that we will see until we get to Grand Turk. Now lets go to Fun shops to see what I can buy.
Not my cruise! All the windows are blocked with paper and a sign says ..... Very sorry but for Renovations. Are you kidding. I wait a whole month they want to renovate the place. This cruise doesn't start the way I wanted to.

Oops! I was taking a photo of the lido pool and someone bumped my arm and this beautiful young girl appeared on the screen. Oh well. Ha,ha,ha.
One other thing that sort of told me that this cruise might be not a good one was that while I was taking my clothes out of my luggage, I suddenly realized that I had forgot my suitcoat. Oh my God!
Time to go dinner at the " Blush Restaurant ". This has to the best table we've ever had in 10 years. Our table was lower area and right at the back of the ship with a large window. What a sight.  Maybe things might not be that bad.

After spending some time walking around the ship, we decided to go back to our cabin and this is what we saw, our towel animal. I smiled because I'm here. Exhaustion took over and we went to sleep waiting for tomorrow.  See you tomorrow with our " Fun Day at Sea ".

Cruise Friday

Good morning my good friends. After writing this small blog, I go into Delta.com to arrange all the necessary materials I need for my flight. Later in the afternoon, my daughter and her husband will be taking my wife & I to the Fairfield Inn which is very close to the airport. Next day we'll be driven to the airport and then our flight to Miami and the to the Port of Miami where the Carnival Breeze sits waiting for us. The first port will be Grand Turk, then San Juan & after that St. Kitts and our final port will be St. Maarten. We have three sea days which I enjoy and I hope that I don't gain that much weight. ( I'm going to enjoy the food ya all )

I'm really looking forward to this cruise. Hopefully when we go onto the ship, we might see our friend Bee. She said that she might wait until to see us and then she can leave. We'll see.
Enjoy your week my friends. I'll be thinking of you all  hopefully. Maybe while were resting on the deck drinking a cool drink I'll think about you.

Doctor: Did you follow the instructions on the medicine I gave you?
Patient: I sure did - the bottle said 'keep tightly closed.'

More Clean Doctor Jokes - Keep Drinking the Water

Brenda make an appointment to see her doctor, because she is worried about her husband's bad temper.
Doctor Thomas asks: "What's the problem?"
Brenda says: "Doctor, I don't know what to do.  Every day my husband Jimmy seems to lose his temper for no reason. It's beginning to scares me."
The Doctor says: "I have a cure for that.  When it seems that Jimmy is getting angry, just take a glass of water and start swishing it in your mouth. Just swish and swish but don't swallow it until he either leaves the room or calms down."
Two weeks later Brenda returns to the doctor looking fresh and happy.
Brenda says: "Doctor that was a brilliant idea! Every time my husband started losing it, I swished with water. I swished and swished, and he calmed right down! How does a glass of water do that?"
Dr Thomas says: "The water itself does nothing. It's keeping your mouth shut that does the trick."

Grandma's Funny Story Grandparents Day Jokes

A Hilarious Tale To Make You Laugh
Grandma Quinn is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. Her granddaughter Jacqueline Pearson, who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, sent Will and Guy this letter and asked that it be put on the site.
We have to admit, this story had Will laughing out loud.
Dear Grand-daughter
The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus ' bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting.
So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.
Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed.
I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed.
It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus!  While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!'
What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!
There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.
Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back.
My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!
A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through the intersection.
I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared.
So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!
Will write again soon,
Love, Grandma

Smile: Grandparent Jokes

1. She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful eyes of her young granddaughter, as she’d done many times before. After she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, “But Grandma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!” I will probably never put lipstick on again without thinking about kissing the toilet paper good-bye….

2. My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He asked me how old I was, and I told him, 80. My grandson was quiet for a moment, and then he asked, “Did you start at 1?”

3. After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into old slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. Finally, she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard the three-year-old say with a trembling voice, “Who was THAT?”

4. A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like. “We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods.” The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she said, “I sure wish I’d gotten to know you sooner!”

5. My grandson was visiting one day when he asked, “Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?” I mentally polished my halo and I said, “No, how are we alike?” “You’re both old,” he replied.

                                        ------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that's it for me today. Have a beautiful day my friends.
