Wow, I'm back friends. Hopefully this won't happen again. This will be a short post. I just want to show you how happy I am with my flower & bush arrangement. I hope you agree with me of nice it looks.

This a photo of a flower arrangement that I made. I made two of them, one for my neighbor and us. My neighbor just loved the one that I created.

Hot Friday

I had three friends leave me a comment the last blog. At this rate, I think I'm ready to pack it in everyone. Maybe I'm doing it wrong this blog thing. Maybe I'm just getting tired. My daughter  came in to my Computer room and said that maybe I had Covid. She's always telling me I have Covid. So I checked and guess what? ...........NO Covid.

The Italian bride

A newly married Italian couple is spending their honeymoon in the bride's mother's country cottage. It's the 1930s the bride’s father died long ago, and they don't have much money so this is the best they can do. The new bride, a lovely young woman, has never left her village and never been with a man before. Her new husband sits alone upstairs while she tells her mother how nervous and scared she is to be with a man for the first time.

"You-a don't-a worry" Her mother tells her "I stay here and make-a the spaghetti, you go upstairs and have-a some fun"

The young woman goes upstairs and readied herself to consummate her marriage. Her husband, sitting on the bed smiling begins to remove his shirt. Having never seen a hairy chest before, the young bride gets frightened and runs downstairs.

"Momma!" she says "It's-a so scary! He has-a the hair on his-a chest-a."

"Calm down, little one" her mother says, stirring the sauce. "Everything-a gonna be-a alright. I stay here and make-a the spaghetti, you go-a upstairs and have-a some fun"

So the young bride goes back upstairs. Her new husband takes off his shoes, and pulls down his pants. Having never seen hairy legs before, she gets scared and runs back downstairs.

"Oh-a momma!" she cries "It's-a so scary! He has-a the hair on his legs-a"

"It's-a OK," her mother says in a calming voice. "I stay here-a and make-a the spaghetti. You-a go upstairs and have-a some fun."

So the bride goes back upstairs. Her new husband is now wearing only his underwear and socks. She stands in the doorway, gathered herself and smiles at her groom. He sits on the bed and removes his socks. However, the man had fought in the Great War and was injured by a landmine. It blew off all of his toes and part of his left foot. The new bride knowing this was not normal cried out in fear and ran back downstairs.

"Momma! Momma! she screams. It's-a so scary! Oh my god-a momma, I never seen-a anything like it before-a. You won’t believe it momma, but he has a foot and a half!"

The mother stops stirring her sauce and looks up at her daughter in disbelief. After a short pause she says "OK dear, don't-a worry. You stay here-a and make-a the spaghetti.....I go upstairs and have-a some fun"

A man goes to a toy store to buy a barbie doll for his daughter and asks the clerk what do barbies cost.

The clerk answers that the shopper barbie is $24.90, beach barbie $24.90, space barbie $29.90 and the divorce barbie is $199.90.

The confused man asks the clerk why the divorce barbie is so expensive compared to the others?

The clerk rolls his eyes and answers: dear sir, of course the divorce barbie also comes with Ken's car, Ken's house, Ken's cottage, Ken's boat, Ken's motorcycle and one of Ken's friends.

Summer Sun Warmth.

What a beautiful Sunday my friends. Good morning everyone. Yesterday was a great day. I went spend some time in my old high school. General Amherst High School was my school. I played 3 years of football, receiving a small trophy but to me it was the largest trophy in my life. I was involved in many different things while I was there. But now they are building a high school in Amherstburg and the so called people in charge didn't want the name Amherst any where in the place. The new name will be Northern Star.

Here's the problem. Many, many years ago , hundreds of years ago it seems that  General Amherst gave the Indians things to wear but it had a disease which killed many of the Indians. So now they want nothing to do with Amherst. How stupid. I taught history for 31 years and I know that the Indians weren't angels. I remember teaching about scalping the white man alive, ripping out pieces of skin tearing  it pieces by piece. Taking pieces of wood and shoving it underneath the nails of men, women & even children. How about the Indian men when they raped the white man's wives. Now I could go on but that's enough about that. Today they say that the Indian needs respect. OK, but why need to take away our history.

I walked the halls of my school for the last time. Wow, it was just like when I was there. I saw former students that also walking around checking out the old place. I understand the need for a new high school but the new school should be called General Amherst High School  not Northern Star.

Flaky Love

You are like dandruff because I just cannot get you out of my head no matter how hard I try.

                         --------------------------

Hard to Breathe

You are like my asthma. You just take my breath away.

Love is Blind

What's the difference between love and marriage? Love is blind. Marriage is an eye-opener.

Zookeeper

My new girlfriend works at the zoo. I think she's a keeper.

Exes

Relationships are a lot like algebra. Have you ever looked at your X and wondered Y?

She's the Boss

I like to show my girlfriend who's the boss in our house. I do this by holding a mirror up to her face

My Poem About Love.

Good morning my friends. After the long blog about my  wonderful dad, I think it's about love, care and maybe sex.

When I was grade 13 my English teacher Mrs, Squire, a fantastic teacher wanted us to write a poem. Now for us boys, it had to be difficult. She  said we would be marked. Well, I did it and I did receive a " A ". Here it is.

                               Girl In Love

                          ----------------------

Her eyes the look of love possessed,

         A twinkling so divine.

The silence which she now requests,

         Of that feeling deep inside.

Within her mind two lovers meet,

A kiss, so sweet as wine.

One tear does tell the love that beats,

In her heart so pure, so fine.

Her head upon the pillow shines,

Of love this night has made.

She wakes, a smile across her mind,

            This dream will never fade.

                               Husband & Wife

                     I Must Be Getting Old.

                                 Getting Old.

LIfe & Death Of A Great Man,

This is the last section of my blog of my dad, Francesco ( Frank ) Pietrangelo.

He and my mother travelled a great deal as they got older. They spent time in the Caribbean.

Eventually they settled on spot in Sarasota, Florida. My dad enjoyed the water, breese & sun of Sarasota. He decided on buying a condo, the 4th floor right over the pool. Soon he sent us to visit them. He made sure that we enjoyed the time on our vacations with him.

He loved being with his grandchildren. Here he was with AmyLynn ,Mary Lou & him at the pool. Later he took his grandson Michael fishing.

He made sure that we all enjoyed our time in Sarasota with the family.

His life in Sarasota was very enjoyable because he was with his family.

He hoped to spend his retirement during the winter time in Sarasota

but my mother missed the time with the grandchildren. Frank finally sold his condo and stayed at home in the winter.

Soon Frank & Susie reached their 50th wedding anniversary. The three of us, Paul, Tom & Dianne decided on having a special party for our parents.

We arranged to have a stretch limo to pick our parents up to go to the party.

Once they were at the party, each one of us had a something special thing  to give to them. The grandchildren came up to present a gift to their grandparents.

First was Nicole who had a book about them.

Next was Michael who was the artist in the family. He gave them a painting of their home.

Next was AmyLynn who gave them a surprise.

and last was Scott who was the singer in the family. Scott sang a song he created for them.

I did have something for my parents and especially  a comment to my dad to thank him for being there for me at the hospital everyday  while I was sick, injured with the stroke. Finally I saw my dad, Frank cry.

Finally the photo for the 50th anniversary couple.

Life went on as usual but then Christmas came and dad wanted all of us at the table. We enjoyed a great dinner that my mother had given us. Dad stood up and wanted us to pay close attention. He had something serious to tell us. This worried all of us. He then informed us that he had

" cancer." For a year dad fought the sickness.

Nicole sat with him on the couch and you could tell he wasn't doing well. My mother made sure that dad was taken care of but dad wasn't going to get better. Eventually we lost dad.

I received a phone call late one night informing us that Dad had passed away. Our strong man was now gone. His funeral took place and after there was a dinner where many friends & relatives talked about Frank. There were many smiles there.

                    R.I.P Frank, our Dad

Dad, Francesco, Frank had a wonderful life. I miss dad but I smile every time  thinking about him.
